The Long awaited Apple iPad ($499-$829)  is finally here, and quite frankly it was worth the wait. iPad sports a large, high-resolution 9.7 inch LED-backlit, IPS display, and an incredibly responsive Multi-Touch screen which makes it perfect for web browsing, watching movies, or showing off photos. Powering the iPad is  a powerful 1GHz Apple A4 chip. You can use iPad for up to 10 hours while surfing the web via Wi-Fi / 3G, watching videos, or listening to music. All packaged in a design that’s a half-inch thick piece of aluminum that weighs just 1.5 pounds making the iPad perfect to take anywhere. Get in line to grab yours at the end of March 2010. More images, specs and a video after the jump!

iPad is designed to work in any orientation — portrait or landscape.  iPad can also run most current iPhone apps, small or upscaled in full screen.

Thanks to a new iBook Store you’ll be able to buy and download books to read, just like you do music and movies on your iPhone.

Some  great accessories have been specifically designed for iPad. The Keyboard Dock, for instance, is a dock with a full-size keyboard. There’s also a standalone Dock. And because iPad has built-in Bluetooth 2.1, it’ll work with an Apple Wireless Keyboard, too.

There’s even an iPad Case that not only protects it, it also allows you to use iPad in various positions, to make it easy to type, look at photos, or watch movies. And through a range of accessories, iPad can output to TVs, projectors and displays.
