2011 Electric Jaguar XJ
Rumor has it that Jaguar is planning an electric version of its 2010 XJ and it may see the light of production as soon as 2011. Jaguar has produced a test model, a 2011 Jaguar XJ electric car that runs on a plug-in electric system with a small combustion engine for added range. The electric XJ will be powered by a 145kW, 295lb ft electric motor fuelled by a lithium ion battery pack. The batteries will be topped up by a 35kW, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder generator. The Jaguar XJ Electric Car will have a range of 600 miles, combined fuel economy of 47 miles per gallon, and a top speed of 112mph. More images after the jump!
